Have you heard about the International Laboratory Freezer Challenge?

Some 2,000 labs around the world decided to participate in a fun, free, and simple competition last year. The participants were challenged to optimize their lab’s cold storage facility, enhancing its energy efficiency as a result. The annual competition, popular as the Freezer Challenge, began in 2017 when two nonprofits—My Green Lab and the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories—joined forces to promote lab sustainability.
