instructor biography

寿々－SUZU－(23), a Japanese calligrapher, born in Hokkaido, Japan.
I started Japanese Calligraphy when I was 10 years old, so it's been 13 years working on Japanese Calligraphy. I took the secondary teaching licence at the age of 15, and after 6 years, I moved to Norway and started working as a Japanese Calligraphy Teacher at Oslo International school. In 2023, I did the Shodo(Japanese Calligraphy) performance at FESTA TANABATA which is Japanese fetival in Florence, Italy.Last year, I started working as a Japanese Calligraphy Teacher at Sasagirian which is Japanese cultural center in Okinawa and from October in 2023, I opened my own workshop in Okinawa mainly but also in Dusseldorf, Germany and in Florence, Italy.I'm so grateful to have a workshop in OSIT this time.

私は10歳の時に書道を始めました。中学校卒業時に中等師範免許を取得し、その6年後にノルウェーのオスロインターナショナルスクールにて書道講師として1年間働きました。2023年にはイタリアのフィレンツェで開催されたFESTA TANABATAにて書道パフォーマンスをさせて頂きました。昨年から沖縄に移住し、外国人向け日本文化施設である笹桐庵にて書道講師に就任しました。また、昨年10月から個人の活動も開始し、沖縄、デュッセルドルフ（ドイツ）、フィレンツェ（イタリア）でもワークショックを開催しました。
この度はOISTでワークショックを開催できることを心より嬉しく思います。

What will you experience and learn from workshop.

I will present the history of Japanese Calligraphy and you will learn learn how to use the brush with ink for writing. After practincing the basic lines, you will try some Japanese words and you will write your favorite word in Japanese as your final work at the end. Please enjoy the Japanese Calligraphy experience.

書道の歴史、筆の使い方を学んで頂きます。基本的な筆の使い方をマスターした後は、実際に日本語を練習してもらいます。最後に、お気に入りの言葉を日本語で書きましょう。ぜひ今回の書道体験をお楽しみください。
