Title: "Black holes in loop quantum gravity: Emergence of non-singular quantum space-time"

Abstract:
Novel (canonical) quantization schemes often suggest modifications to classical dynamics, such as in an effective Friedmann equation. However, although often ignored, they also necessarily imply new effects for quantum space-time leading to the emergence of new (quantum) symmetries. We shall use black-hole models, in loop quantum gravity, to illustrate how new geometrical structures show up in the presence of holonomy modifications, going beyond standard Riemannian manifolds. A self-consistent, non-singular description of black hole interiors shall be developed which leads to the phenomenon of ‘signature-change’, resulting from a deformed version of general covariance.
