Title: An algebraic perspective on the RG flow of φ4-theory at large N
Abstract: It has been found that the leading order RG flow of multiscalar theories can be described with non-associative algebras, which our research shows is particularly useful in the large N limit. The algebraic perspective in combination with simple scaling arguments gives a method for identifying sets of large N models, without relying on diagrammatic or combinatorial analysis. It not only reproduces known results but has been shown to identify new candidates for large N approximations in simple scalar theories. My future research projects will analyse these candidates to higher loop order to find out if they are indeed new, and attempt to generalize the algebraic method to a larger set of QFTs than simply multiscalar ones in 4d.
