Target Audience: Researchers. Students and faculty members are welcome to attend.
Summary and objectives: The goal of this workshop it to give attendees the necessary skills to be an effective peer reviewer, from both an editor’s and author’s perspective. This webinar will provide practical insights and strategies to help attendees achieve this goal.
The two 2-hour webinars contain numerous interactive elements and activities to stimulate engagement amongst participants. A Participant Guide will be available for the attendees to download before the webinar begins, and a recording of the webinar will be available for the attendees to review for 30 days after the webinar has concluded.
Webinar 2:
Section 1: Manuscript evaluation (50 min).
This section highlights strategies to evaluate the various sections of the manuscript for transparency, clarity, and validity.
Break and Q&A (15 min).
Section 2: Writing reviewer reports (45 min).
This section reviews how to write effective reviewer reports — both the comments to the editor as well as to the authors — focusing on being clear, direct, and constructive.
Final Q&A (10 min).
