[Topology and Geometry Seminar] “ An introduction to uniformly hyperbolic attractors ” by Dr Linling Ru

This week, Dr Linling Ru (visiting researcher in the Tsvietkova Unit) will speak on "An introduction to uniformly hyperbolic attractors".

Abstract: In the theory of dynamical systems, the class of uniformly hyperbolic attractors was introduced about 50 years ago. These types of attractors have remarkable topological and statistical properties. In this talk, I will give the basic definition of uniformly hyperbolic attractors, discuss their properties and describe the cone field test for proving hyperbolicity.
