Local information
Rooms for the speakers are booked at Moon Beach Hotel, Onna. Shuttle from the hotel to OIST conference center (on campus) is arranged for the speakers, as well as taxi from the airport to hotel and back. Moon Beach Hotel has a beach, several restaurants on site, and is located in Onna, close to some shops and eateries. For other destinations, public transportation is limited, and Okinawa is best explored by car. Car rentals are available for those who have an International Driving Permit (it can be obtained, for example, at AAA shops in the US within 2-week period). For non-speaking participants that prefer not to rent a car, Peridot hotel is within walking distance from campus, and OIST Grano is recommended for meals on campus.
