You think that using OIST's HPC cluster is complicated? You have large datasets that are complicated to pre/post process on your laptop? Come and see how you can easily run data analysis and simulations through a simple web portal, and do remote visualization on powerful high-end GPUs. Developed by NICE Software, EnginFrame HPC has been used for more than 15 years by the most demanding computing centers in public research and companies. More than just a web portal, EnginFrame proposes a robust, coherent and complete set of web services that allow the researchers and engineers to access through a simple web browser to their data and their interactive or batch applications. Remote interactive 3D applications are made available through DCV: a powerful remote visualization tool optimized for 3D applications. Whether you are in OIST, at home or working off-site, you can visually pre and post process your data remotely, just as if you were doing it locally on your laptop, but with the full power of OIST's infrastructure behind the scene. We'll show you how you can do it through a live demo on OIST's Tombo cluster.

EnginFrame and DCV: Hands-on session (2-3h)
Date: September 14th, 2016 13:00-16:00
Room: Lab3 LevelC C700
Presenter: Bejamin Depardon

※ Laptop Required
If you were interested in the previous talk, then why not come and test it by yourself? During this hands-on session we will show you how you can take advantage of EnginFrame to access your data and your applications. Run your simulations and access 3D remote visualization tools in a few clicks, without having to type a single command line. All you need is your laptop. If you already have scripts to launch your applications, you can also bring them: part of the session will be dedicated to the integration of your applications within the web portal provided by EnginFrame.
