OIST Café in Tokyo on 2nd November 2023

11月2日、OIST（沖縄科学技術大学院大学）のスタッフと卒業生が東京を訪れ、博士課程やリサーチ・インターンシップの入学手続きや学生へのサポート、OISTでの学生生活に関するあらゆる質問にお答えします。

OISTでは現在、STEM分野の学士課程または修士課程に在籍する学生を対象に、全額支給の5年間の博士課程プログラムおよび2～6ヶ月のリサーチ・インターンシップを提供しており、説明会にはあらゆる分野、国籍の学生の参加を歓迎します。

説明会では、OISTの概要、博士課程やリサーチ・インターンシップの入学プロセス、学生へのサポートについてご説明します。説明会の後には、OISTで学ぶことについてのご質問にお答えする質疑応答の時間も設けています。

多様で学際的な環境で研究を行うことにご興味のある方、また出願資格や入学プロセス、OISTでの研究がどのようなものであるかについて詳しく知りたい方は、11月2日の説明会にぜひご参加ください。

Dr. Han Yan (Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo and OIST Alumni)

Han Yan was born in China. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Science in China, a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and a master's degree in physics from Northwestern University. He then came to OIST and studied quantum many-body physics in the Theory of Quantum Matter Unit, led by Prof. Nic Shannon. After obtaining his Ph.D., he spent three years as a Junior Fellow of Rice Academy and also jointly as the Peter and Ruth Nicholas Postdoctoral Fellow in the final year. He then moved to the University of Tokyo as an Assistant Professor in the group of Masaki Oshikawa at the Institue of Solid-State Physics. He works on a wide variety of physics problems including topological orders, gauge theory, and quantum information. Outside work, he likes to be physically active, and enjoys hitting the gym and hiking.
