外国人特別研究員とは外国の博士号取得直後の優秀な若手研究者に対して，日本の大学等において日本側受入研究者の指導のもとに共同して研究に従事する機会を提供する事業。本特別研究員の研究期間は１２ヶ月から２４ヶ月まで。申請は，外国人特別研究員の受入れを希望する我が国の研究者が行うものと、海外の推薦機関が行う方法が提供されています。
