Call for participants
To fully understand the relationship between Mind, Body and Environment, Human Subject Research is of utmost importance. Hence we are looking for participants to contribute their time and effort to our research projects.
If you want to participate in one of our studies, please read the information we provide here and on the following pages carefully. We describe general information about being a research participant in ECSU experiments, the equipment we typically use, and our Covid 19 guidelines.
Since our studies differ in some aspects, more specific information for our current calls is provided following the links to their respective pages, listed below.
If you have already participated in one of our studies, a full list of our former calls can be found HERE or following the link on the [Former calls] menu on the left. There you will find all information provided during the call for participation and information about our publications that are based on them.

You might find this list empty, with no open calls for participation, but you can always make an account at our research participation system to get the latest info on available studies coming up in the future.
How to sign up:
To sign up for a study, you need to make an account at our research participation system. There you will be asked to fill in a prescreen form, which determines which studies will be available for you to sign up. Selecting any of the studies listed in the research participation system, will give you more information about it. You can then sign up for the study by booking one of the available times and dates. If none of the offered dates match your availability or you have doubts about signing up for the participation system, please contact the lead researcher of the study directly. Once an appointment is booked, you will get a second email from the researcher 24 h before the experiment, with more relevant information material. Please read it carefully to ensure you can give an informed consent.
Be aware that some experiments require two people to participate at the same time.
A handy guide for how to use the research participation system is available here.

Withdrawal information
It is important that you understand that even after you agree to participate and sign the consent form, you have the right to withdraw from the experiment without giving a reason. You will not face any negative consequences or disadvantages as a result of your withdrawal, and you will still receive the agreed remuneration for your time involvement.
If you wish to withdraw from the study before it begins, please e-mail the Lead Researcher, whose contact will be given in the recruitment material. If you wish to withdraw from an ongoing experiment, a verbal request to the researcher present in the room is sufficient. After your participation in the experiment is concluded, there is still a possibility to delete your collected data until it has been used in a published resource (conference paper, journal article etc.). At this point your anonymized data will be uploaded to a data sharing platform for the purpose of ensuring scientific transparency and replicability. Consult Section 5 of the General Information pdf for more details on our data management policies.
