Title

Particles, Bubbles, and Turbulence. Some examples of CFD applied to environmental problems.

Abstract

In this seminar, Dr. Fraga will summarise his experience developing CFD tools relevant to water pollution and wastewater treatment. He will focus mainly on the use of Eulerian-Lagrangian techniques to predict multiphase and particle-laden flows, fluid-structure interaction, and turbulent mixing. The seminar will conclude with some remarks on future research and possibilities for collaboration.
