ICIIBMS is the joint effort of the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST), the University of the Ryukyus, and the National Institute of Technology, Okinawa College in order to create opportunities for scholars, technology, industry leaders, scientists, and graduate students to present their original research (full papers, short papers, and poster presentations) on various topics. Including Signal Processing, Information Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction, Biomedical, Medical Imaging, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Natural Sciences, and related fields, and not only get credit from their Institutions and impact on technology development. ICIIBMS is a conference recognized, sponsored, and indexed by IEEE and other influential index agencies, such as Engineering Village and Scopus.

In collaboration with leading venture capital firms, OIST Innovation offers startups and entrepreneurial researchers or students the opportunity to connect directly with venture capitalists for one-on-one mentoring and discussion. Each round begins with an open seminar-style introduction, where participants can learn about the VC firm's investment focus and characteristics. This is followed by private, closed-door mentoring sessions between startups/researchers/students and the VC representatives.

Registration is required. If the number of applicants exceeds the available slots, OIST Innovation will select participants based on the information provided in the registration form and the strategic fit with the VC.

Stakeholders in Smart Agriculture related companies or supporting organizations will come together at OIST to discuss how we can bridge research and community . The event includes talks about the agricultural landscape of Okinawa Challenges and Prospects and the Future of Okinawa followed by startup pitches and networking.

The Graduation Ceremony to award degrees to those who graduated in the period May 2025 to January 2026. The ceremony will take place at the OIST Auditorium on Friday, February 27, 2026.
