TSVP Symposium: Representation Theory and Topological Data Analysis

Date

Tuesday, July 22, 2025 (All day) to Friday, July 25, 2025 (All day)

Location

OIST, Lab 4, Room L4E48

Description

Title: Representation Theory and Topological Data Analysis: Latest Advances

Abstract: The goal of this symposium is to showcase the latest developments at the interface between Representation Theory (RT) and Topological Data Analysis (TDA), in particular (but not restricted to) the ones carried out within our thematic program. Upon termination, participants should get as broad a picture as possible of the latest developments at the interface between TDA and RT, and at the same time, they should be acquainted with some of the important questions and significant tools in the other area. To this end, the symposium will gather people from several research communities, both from inside and from outside our thematic program.

This symposium is part of the TSVP Thematic Program "Topological Data Analysis, Persistence And Representation Theory Intertwined". The thematic program will run from June 23 to August 9, 2025. Further information can be found on the TDA PARTI program website.

Travel Arrangement/Accommodation

※ To attend the entire symposium, we strongly encourage the participants to arrive on July 21 and schedule their departure no earlier than July 26.

※ In addition to the invited speakers, OIST may be able to provide (possibly shared) lodging for a limited number of registrants at OIST Seaside House (about 25 minutes walk from the venue). Young researchers, participants from underrepresented groups, and those who contribute a talk or poster will be prioritized. To apply for this, the registration form must be submitted before June 15, 2025.

※ Following the symposium, in Week 6 of our OIST TDA PARTI thematic program there will be a minicourse and some colloquium talks. We may be able to provide lodging for a smaller number of the symposium participants who aim to actively attend these activities between July 28-August 1. To apply for this, the registration form must be submitted before June 15, 2025.
