Title: Three lectures on modular Lie algebras (Part I)

Abstract: I will introduce Lie algebras over a field of positive characteristic to nonexperts. In the first lecture, I introduce basic notions such as simple Lie algebras. In the second lecture, I will explain the structure of the center of the universal enveloping algebra in good cases. The third lecture is to give an example on the number of irreducible modules.
