Abstract: Part II of IV in our series will consist of building the chain complex of simplicial homology. First, we give an orientation to the simplexes in order for them to generate a sequence of free Abelian groups in the simplicial complex. These are the so-called chain groups. We will define a sequence of homomorphisms (such that the image of each is contained in the kernel of the next) connecting these chain groups: the so-called boundary operator.
