Okinawa Marine Science Support Section


The nature of marine environment around Okinawa is so rich and diverse, including beautiful coral reefs, peaceful mangrove ecosystems, deep-sea hydrothermal vents on the ocean floor, and the dynamic Black Current (Kuroshio). These surrounding environments also deliver great opportunities for marine science research to OIST researchers. By providing our best supports, the Okinawa Marine Science Support Section (OMSSS) contributes to all aspects of marine science research activities at OIST.
