The Sound of Textiles

The special art event “The Sound of Textiles” will be held at OIST Auditorium. We are pleased to present this event as the first in a series of collaborative concerts by Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts and the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University.  You will find the echoes between the process of weaving textiles using warp and weft yarn dyed in traditional technique, and the process of composing music using sounds layered through the passage of time. There will be a concert and a textile exhibition.
