International Symposium on Organic Electronics 2012
Symposium Dates: Oct 3 - 5, 2012
Location: OIST Seaside House
The OIST “International Symposium on Organic Electronics” (ISOE) aims to bring together scientists from diverse backgrounds, in order to discuss key questions from many aspects in the field of organic electronics. The 16 currently confirmed invited speakers represent the breadth and diversity of this key technological discipline at the highest international standard. ISOE participants will attend lectures highlighting recent advances and be encouraged to participate in discussions combines. ISOE also hopes to promote free-form interaction with world-class scientists through social activities, all in a beautiful subtropical setting.
The symposium will consist of a lecture from each of the invited speakers, followed by interactive discussions and a poster session from all participants.
The poster portion of the symposium is primarily aimed at graduate students and early career researchers.

Discussions will emphasize topics such as, but not limited to:
- Rational design of high mobility organic semiconductors
- Chemical doping and the control of organic interfaces
- Morphology control and optimization of organic semiconductor films
- Langmuir-Blodgett monolayers and self assembled monolayers
- Charge transport in organic single-crystal semiconductors
- Electroluminescence in organic films
- Nanostructured organic thin films
- Influence of interface structure and orientation on organic electronics
- Organic thin films and oxide films for solar cell applications
- Luminescence and electrolytes
Room and board will be covered for all workshop participants, as well as the cost of transportation to and from Okinawa. OIST will help with arranging visas, if necessary.
