Description
ARCHITECTURE, DOMESTICATION AND NEW WAVES OF (DE)TERRITORIALIZATION IN THE TROPICS
TROPICALITY is a series of nomadic, 2 weeks workshops which mine links between architecture, individual/cultural identity through unique ethnographical, anthropological readings of the city, housing and ‘home’ in urban, post-colonial, tropical, contexts. In its fourth year, the programme will bring its method to Okinawa, Japan. Each group of students as researchers will produce a series of films, drawings and writing to be presented and debated amongst academics and professionals in both Okinawa and eventually in London.
On Aug 25 the TROPICALITY workshop will have final film screenings and drawing presentation from 2pm to 5pm. The event is free and open to everyone.
