This is a seminar by Topology and Geometry of Manifolds Unit, occasionally on Thursday. It will be followed by tea after the semiar at the unit space.

Abstract: Topological gravity, defined on Riemann surface or Teichmuller space with handles and holes, has recently interesting developments. The intersection numbers on the moduli space for p-spin curve are evaluated with handles and holes. Some problems of a super Riemann surface are discussed.

It has been known that matrix model can describe interesting physical phenomena including gravity, gauge fields, but it is difficult to solve. Dr. Steffen Kiel is senior scientist and curator at the Paleobiology Department of the Swedish Museum of Natural History in Stockholm.
