The OIST Proof of Concept (POC) Program can set you up with funding, mentoring, industry collaborations, a supportive community and more. Learn about the new call for applications and get ready to turn your groundbreaking idea into a technology, product or service.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of embedded programming using a handheld game device based on the AVTokyo 2022 badge. While the focus is on programming, we’ll also explore hardware fundamentals such as reading sensor data and displaying text on a screen. The badge hardware will be provided by VPC-Asia. Participants should bring a laptop with the Arduino IDE installed and a micro USB cable. NOTE. The number of participants is limited. Please sign up at the Graduate School counter .

This presentation will expose students to open-source and low-cost solutions to prototyping and hardware development as well as affordable paths in product development. In particular, we will cover advances and opportunities in microcontrollers and sensors, enabled by the Arduino ecosystem and Platform.io .
