Abstract:

A plethora of experimental and theoretical studies have shown that single neurons, with their elaborate processes, the dendrites, can perform complex computations and subserve a number of functions. In this talk I will present work using models of different layers, brain regions and species, and discuss their key insights regarding neuronal function.
