Title: The Festina Lente Bound and some applications

I will discuss briefly the current status of de Sitter vacua in string theory and the role of the Swampland program. Then I will assume that some temporary de Sitter like state is consistent and work out some consequences for field theories living on de Sitter space by studying the evolution of large black holes. This will lead to the so-called Festina Lente bound, which I will describe in some detail.
