Mathematical Physics seminar: Chern-Simons theory

This is our second joint seminar. We are planning to review the differential-geometric approach to bundles and connections. Then we will briefly discuss the characteristic classes,   with the Chern-Simons theory being the boundary term   when evaluating the Chern number for the four-manifold with boundary. 

The seminar is planned to be strictly within the 1 hour time and we are going to contninue our discussion of Chern-Simons theory on next seminar in several weeks.
