During the session the following topics will be covered:

• A personal story of finding an industry job in Japan as a foreigner. 
• Application and interview process for semiconductor companies in Japan. 
• Advice for finding an industry job that is intellectually fulfilling and financially rewarding. 

The following employment opportunities at ASM International will be presented: 

• Open recruiting of new PhD Graduates (No Japanese required, work location in Japan, Korea, USA or Europe)
• Immediate openings for Process Engineers in Hiroshima Japan (JLPT N1 Japanese required, PhD grad or Post-doc)

About the Speaker:

Mikas Remeika, Ph.D.

Mikas Remeika received a PhD degree from University of California San Diego, studying low temperature physics of quasiparticles in semiconductor superlattices. His academic career includes post-doctoral research at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (Energy Materials and Surface Sciences Unit) and Tsukuba University (JSPS Post-doctoral Fellow, Semiconductor Materials Design Laboratory). In semiconductor industry, he was employed by Intel Corporation (USA), WD/Sandisk Corporation (Japan), and ASM International (Japan). He is currently living with his wife and two daughters in Hiroshima City.
