Abstract:
In this talk, which is aimed at non specialists, I will explore the fascinating features of turbulence at low temperatures. The talk will be interspersed with historical accounts of how the subject developed but will also describe our modern understanding. I discuss whether there are common properties of collective behavior over length scales that range from the size of the universe to the size of atomic systems.
