Title: New Insights of Neuronal Properties in C. Elegans

Abstract: Since the C. elegans genome does not encode voltage-gated sodium channels, it has long been believed that the animal’s neurons rely on passive propagation, rather than canonical action potentials, of electrical signals. In this meeting, however, I'll report regenerative depolarization, evoked by an NaCl down step, of a major gustatory sensory neurons, ASE, in C. elegans.

After the seminar there will be a discussion with free pizza and drinks!
