Title: An Insight into the Mechanisms of Stress and Behavior

Abstract: During our daily life, we continuously face stressful events. Luckily, our bodies have the capacity (resilience) to cope with such events safely. The stresses we go through can either be cellular, like exposure to toxins and chemicals or environmental, like pressure in the work environment and daily life. In my research, I am investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying stress response. I’m particularly interested to investigate the role of a protein, that shows cellular stress-responsiveness, in the brain and whether it plays a similar role in the environmental stress resilience and its impact on normal neurological behavior.

The talk will be followed by a discussion with soft drinks and pizza. Everybody is welcome to join!
