Title: Quantum Information and Technologies with Hybrid Systems

Abstract: One major goal of the field of Quantum Information Science is to realize a quantum computer. Besides, Quantum Technologies are also believed to have potential for sensing and communication devices with unprecedented sensitivity, efficiency, and security. Indeed, all the “IT Giants”, such as Google, Microsoft, Intel, and IBM, have started investing to these new and still-rapidly advancing research fields. 
In this talk, I will present "hybrid quantum systems", all of which consist of "spins in solids", that have been developed at my former institute and at OIST in the prospect of Quantum Information Science and Technologies.
