Title: Photocaged Guanine Modulates Riboswitch Function by Light

Abstract: Synthetic riboswitches are RNA structural modules that can be controlled by light using appropriate photocaged ligands, rendering precise spatial and temporal gene regulation. However, the photocaged ligands that function in living cells are lacking. This talk will be focused on the design and synthesis of photocaged guanine and how it was used to modulate the gene expression under riboswitch control in cells by light.

After the seminar (17:00-17:30), join us for discussion with free pizza and soft drinks!
