Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology was established by the Japanese government to contribute to science and technology worldwide, attract leading researchers from Japan and abroad to conduct high-quality research, advance the development of a world-class research hub, and nucleate a knowledge cluster that will catalyze technology transfer and industrial innovation in Okinawa.

Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biobhemistry (IOCB) Prague was established as an interdisciplinary institute at the interface of chemistry, biology, and medicine with a combination of chemical and biological groups and teams working in the same field. This has led to many significant contributions through its pioneering cutting-edge research, as well as practical applications, particularly in medicinal chemistry.
