OIST 15th Anniversary Celebration Concert

Celebrate OIST's 15th Anniversary with a special afternoon of chamber music featuring Mitsuki Okada (violin), Itsuko Arakaki (viola), Megumi Shiroma (cello), and Yuka Oyabu (piano). This commemorative performance marks an important milestone in OIST's history, bringing together researchers, students, staff, and the wider community through the shared experience of live music.

The program spans centuries of musical expression, from the lyrical beauty of Franz Schubert and Gabriel Fauré to contemporary works by Chad Cannon and Tōru Takemitsu. The concert also celebrates Okinawa's rich cultural heritage with BeeBee nu Kusa, a traditional Okinawan folk song arranged by Tōru Nakamura. Audiences can look forward to an engaging afternoon that celebrates curiosity, creativity, and connection.

Presented by OIST in collaboration with the Okinawa Prefectural University of the Arts.

The registration will open on Oct 1. Register here https://www.oist.jp/event-registration/oist-15th-anniversary-celebration-concert
