Join us for a special event combining an English talk about music with a live mini concert. The main language will be English, with some parts in Japanese.

Broadcaster Peter Barakan will guide the audience through “Island Songs of the World”—introducing music from islands across the globe while exploring connections with the songs of Okinawa and the Ryukyu Islands.

The event will also feature a live performance by Anna Sato (vocals) and Yuji Katsui (electric violin), offering a rich musical experience that deepens our appreciation of island cultures through sound.

This program serves as a pre-event for the upcoming National Theatre Okinawa’s “ISLAND SONGS – Songs of the Islands” performance, scheduled for January 24, 2026.
