Want your research to one day make headline news? Looking to maximize your chances of securing funding in the future? Or just feel like bragging about your new paper in a way that your grandmother can actually understand? Then this workshop is for you. 

In Science Communication 101, we’ll go through the fundamentals of good science communication, why you should care about your comms, and what OIST is doing in this field. Through hands-on examples you’ll practice the art of science communication, and leave feeling inspired and confident with the knowledge of how to communicate your scientific findings effectively. 

Format: 2-hour interactive workshop, presented in English. 

Preparation required: Bring a smartphone for interactive quizzing 

About the Science Communication Section 

Sitting within OIST's Communications and Public Relations Division, the Science Communication Section is responsible for promoting OIST's scientific research output to the global public and scientific community.
