OIST Seminar "We Want to Know  – How an antimatter physicist reacted to the Fukushima Accident –"

Prof. Ryugo HAYANO, University of Tokyo and Shigesato ITOI, Copywriter, Essayist

In this seminar, Prof. Ryugo HAYANO, an antimatter physicist from the University of Tokyo, will introduce what he has done and has being doing after the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster. He used his personal Twitter account as an effective medium to distribute the data he collected from a scientist’s perspective.

Mr. Shigesato ITOI is one of the most influential individuals amongst Japanese intellectuals. Mr. ITOI has worked closely with Prof. HAYANO, supporting his individual activities driven by the strong sense of duty as a scientist.

The seminar will be in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation (JP ⇔ ENG). 

The talk will be based on the book “We Want to Know” (『知ろうとすること。』) – a dialogic book by ITOI and HAYANO.
