Abstract
The Molecular Imaging Instrumentation Laboratory (MIIL) at Stanford (miil.stanford.edu <http://miil.stanford.edu>) *explores advanced concepts in* instrumentation and computational algorithms for visualizing and quantifying molecular signatures of disease. Among the different molecular imaging modalities, positron emission tomography (PET) has become a powerful tool for interrogating the molecular basis of disease, and is currently the only molecular imaging method that regularly used in the clinic. The MIIL has a particular focus on exploring new concepts in PET system technology. In this presentation we will discuss some of our research projects in this area.
