SAM: How to cope with corona virus

This month's SAM will be conducted via Zoom in light of COVID-19 concerns and will focus on COVID-19 as well.

OIST Gratitude Month
2019-10-01 to 2019-10-30Dear OISTers,
The purpose of “Gratitude Month” is to remind you what you have great in your life but just forgot because of having stress and other life problems.
From 1st to 30th Oct, you will find a Gratitude Glass jar with paper cards and markers at the Entrance of the Tunnel.
Everyone is welcome to write down for what they are grateful in their lives. At the end of the month, all gratitude would be collected and published.
Special Tea Time Event - Student Council Awards Cermony
2019-09-12Regular Tea Time will be at Grano from 4:30pm, after conclusion of the awards ceremony.
The Student Council have this year organized and decided upon a series of Excellence awards:
- Award for Staff Excellence in Student Support
- Award for Student Excellence in Community Service
- Award for Student Excellence in Graduate Research
And have continued our teaching award:
- Students' Choice Teaching Award
These were decided upon based on an open nominations process established by a committee which included representatives from staff, faculty, and students.
Please join us in celebrating the achievements of these wonderful staff and students!
2nd OIST Activities Fair
2018-10-05This is an event for OISTers’ to know what activities are happening at OIST, as well as for (official or informal) groups to recruit new members! Especially for new students, it will be a good chance to know activities you could do with people at OIST. Everyone at OIST, including interns, families, postdocs, admins, faculties, are all welcome!
Please spread this info to whom may want to recruit members and look for new activities!
For groups/clubs interested in joining:
If you or your group wants to join this Activities Fair, please email (yuka.suzuki@oist.jp) or message Yuka Suzuki in advance with your group name. Also, please ask Yuka if you want to borrow a screen or do some performance. Performance may be possible in the meeting room 1. Each group will have a spot with a table and their group/activity name at the conference centre. Groups are welcome to bring items to show the taste of their activities or anything to attract people (video, instruments, snacks etc)!
