Description
What does innovation look like at OIST?
Join us for a short session featuring students, alumni, founders, and innovation professionals who will share their journeys from research to real-world impact.
Through short talks and practical examples, participants will learn how students can get involved in innovation activities, explore entrepreneurship, contribute to commercialization projects, protect intellectual property, and discover career paths beyond traditional academic research.
Speakers include:
- Larisa Sheloukhova— OIST alumna and Technology Development Specialist
- Junho Lee — OIST student and iGEM team leader
- Sergey Zobnin — OIST alumnus and startup founder
- Josh Green — Innovation educator and startup mentor
- Ryohei Yoshida — Technology Licensing Specialist
- Caitlin Clouse — Entrepreneurship Education Coordinator (MC for the event)
Whether you're curious about startups, patents, technology transfer, industry collaboration, or simply want to explore new career possibilities, this session will introduce the many ways innovation happens at OIST.
No startup idea required. Curiosity is enough. Coffee and light snacks will be provided.
