Droplet Physics Across Scales for Energy and Sustainability

This workshop brings together the Droplet and Soft Matter Unit (Daniel Unit, OIST) and the Mouterde Group (University of Tokyo) to develop a unified understanding of droplet physics across length scales, from the nanometric to the millimetric regime. Droplet phenomena inherently span multiple scales: nanoscale interfacial processes govern wetting, transport, and dissipation, while micrometric and millimetric droplets exhibit complex hydrodynamic, electrostatic, and multiphase behaviors. Bridging these regimes remains a major challenge in soft matter and fluid physics.
