This is an externally organized event. For more information please go the conference website.
The 24th International Colloquium on Magnetic Films and Surfaces (ICMFS-2022) will be held as a hybrid conference from July 10-15, 2022 in Okinawa, Japan.
Pursuing the idea of free circulation of scientists, the ICMFS-2022 will bring together scientists from all areas of magnetism in lower dimensions. The Colloquium aims at exchange of new results and ideas for advancing the field of magnetism at surfaces, interfaces, in micro- and nanostructures as well as of spin-dependent phenomena.
The structure of the Colloquium will be a single session style conference, consisting of invited and oral talks given by world leading experts from research institutes, universities and industry. There will be poster sessions, where attendants and particularly early career scientists and students are encouraged to present their work related to the fields covered by the ICMFS-2022.
The ICMFS-2022 will also hold the IUPAP prize ceremony, plenary talks by the awardees of IUPAP Magnetism Award and Néel Medal 2021 (Agnès Barthélémy, and Nicola Spaldin), and invited talks by the winners of IUPAP Young Scientist Prize (Early Career Scientist Prize) in Magnetism 2019–2022 (Julia Mundy, Jiadong Zang, Can Onur Avci, TBD).
