Welcome to Class of 2022 New Students

The Graduate School is happy to invite you to join the upcoming Welcome Ceremony with us, held on Thursday, September 1st, 2022 (10:30am-12pm).

We will be formally welcoming and introducing new PhD students who enrolled in Academic Year 2021 and 2022, as well as new faculty members who joined OIST since January 2021. The ceremony will also be followed by the announcement of the Student’s Choice Award for Teaching to be presented by the Student Council as well as traditional Ryukyu dance and music performances by OIST community and professionals. The ceremony will be held in person at OIST (no live streaming), and there is no need for registration to attend the ceremony.
