New adventures in behavioral quantification

Date

Friday, November 11, 2022 - 14:00 to 14:45

Location

Lab 4 E48

Description

Speaker: Prof. Joshua Shaevitz, Princeton University

I will present recent efforts by my group on quantifying the behavior of interacting animals. This includes learned social interactions in bumblebees; tracking of very large numbers of individuals using a combination of pose and bar codes; models of autism in rodents; lifetime-scale recordings; and new deep-learning ideas for cataloging stereotyped dynamics.
