Registration deadline for OIST-KEIO SHOWCASE TALK Series 7 - Science meets Society: Frontiers in Interdisciplinary Approaches to Life Sciences is January 27th, 2025.

This is a joint mini-symposium between OIST and JST Act-X. Act-X is a JST grant program designed to support young researchers. The symposium features four speakers from Act-X’s research area, “Life and Chemistry,” and four speakers from OIST. While the symposium is titled “Life and Chemistry,” the topics covered are quite diverse. The primary aim of this event is to foster meaningful interactions between researchers at OIST and those from outside institutions.

OIST and Kyusyu University have signed an MOU in 2023 to pursue broad research collaboration. As part of this initiative, we have been holding joint symposia to deepen exchanges between our researchers. The first symposium was held at OIST last year with the theme "Bio-inspired Energy." The 2nd Joint Workshop will be held in Kyushu University focusing on Quantum Technology and AI.

MIRAI will organize a digital kick-off event to celebrate the start of MIRAI third phase between 2024-2026. This digital event is open to the public and strongly welcome from all MIRAI member universities in Sweden and Japan as well as other universities, industry, research funding agencies, governmental sectors.

We are excited to announce an open call for poster presentations at the upcoming OIST x NanoLSI Joint Symposium. This symposium is a unique opportunity to showcase your research to a diverse audience, including leading experts from both OIST and NanoLSI.
