Host: Ministry of the Environment (MOE), Okinawa Prefectural Government (OPG)
Cohost: OIST, University of the Ryukyus

Issues arising from climate change and protecting islands and their surrounding coral reefs require global solutions. The purpose of this international conference is to bring together experts from within Japan and around the world to discuss strategies and policies.

Leaders and experts from several countries are expected to participate. Participants from Japan will include the Minister of the Environment and the Governor of Okinawa.

  1. June 29 (Sat) International Symposium, Reception (hosted by OPG)
  2. June 30 (Sun) Meeting of Experts (several working sessions to be held concurrently)

The conference will be in both English and in Japanese, with simultaneous interpretation. Do not miss this opportunity to listen to world authorities on climate change.
