Date

Monday, December 16, 2019 - 09:00 to Tuesday, December 17, 2019 - 17:30

Location

Conference Center - Meeting Rooms

Description

Genes and environment shape early brain function. How these factors are influenced by maternal health and nutrition are poorly understood. This workshop will focus on concepts and strategies for tracking infant brain development from late stage pregnancy through early childhood. Novel biomarkers (epigenetics, electrophysiology, stress biochemistry, immunology, etc) will be explored as predictors of school readiness six years after birth.

This joint workshop provides an opportunity for OIST Ph.D. students and research staff, especially those with a life science background to interact with a large and diverse group of outstanding invited lecturers as well as highly qualified students from other institutions, which will enhance the training of our own students and research by the OIST researchers.

Scientific sessions are open to the OIST community.
