The Rosalind Franklin Forum for Female Scientists (ROZ), Open to All is a scientific collective named in honor of the distinguished chemist-crystallographer, in which senior scientists provide advice to early career scientists. The forum is created by and for women but welcomes all practitioners everywhere. This exhibition will feature posters of female scientists from around the world.

Beach Cleanup at Tancha

May 30 is “Go-Mi- Zero” day in Japan (5=Go, 3-Mi, 0=Zero, Gomi=waste, garbage), and a great opportunity to think about nature and keep neighbourhood beaches clean.

This event is part of UMIGOMI ZERO WEEK (https://uminohi.jp/umigomi/zeroweek/).

Please:

  • Wear gloves
  • Wear something blue (to note Umigomi Zero Week). Not compulsory.

In case of rain, the event will be canceled. No volunteer certificate will be issued for this event.

These new banners, featuring imagery created by OIST researchers as part of the scientific process, have been on display for a few days now. This exhibit opening will provide some background about the images and the project and thank the researchers for contributing.
