Mr. Yusuke Yamane shares his experience as a research intern at pi-Conjugated Polymers Unit led by Dr. Christine Luscombe.
Before (2023/8/25)
After (2023/10/19)
1. How and why did you decide to apply for this program?
I applied because I was interested in the research activity itself at OIST and found it very attractive when I visited summer camp last year. I also chose the research unit for the purpose of doing something I could not do in the faculty of medicine.
2. What was your typical day like as OIST research intern?
From 10:00 to 18:00, I did research activities, and after returning to the dormitory, I did chores. During research, I worked on lab procedures such as synthesis and generation, as well as summarizing results and preparing presentation materials.
3. Please tell us how you feel about your experience as OIST research intern. (Please include what you like about the program and areas for improvement if any.)
Thank you very much for this very valuable opportunity. If the schedule allowed, I would have liked to stay a little longer.
