Title: The unexpected consequences of superposing quantum channels
Speaker: PhD. Jorge Miguel-Ramiro, Innsbruck University
Abstract of Talk: The superposition of trajectories reveals novel and often surprising effects when channels are implemented in coherent superposition. We explore how these phenomena arise in different contexts, highlighting their unique features and implications. We also examine potential applications in established quantum information tasks, such as noise mitigation and entanglement purification, demonstrating how superposing quantum channels can enhance quantum protocols in unexpected ways.
Profile of Speaker:Jorge Miguel-Ramiro completed his B.S. degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. He joined the group of Wolfgang Dür in Innsbruck, Austria, where he completed his M.S. and PhD degrees. He is now a PostDoc working on different areas of quantum information and quantum communication.
