Research projects

On-going research projects in the G0 Cell Unit are all linked to the central topic of cellular quiescence, however some projects extend to related aspects of nutrition, lifespan, aging, and health. We rely heavily on the use of fission yeast as a model organism for genetic studies, and mass spectrometry-based metabolomics research for gaining molecular insights into cellular metabolic processes.

Our research projects can be grouped into three main categories:
